The PGA TOUR Returns to Cabo This November
The World Wide Technology Championship comes back to El Cardonal at Diamante November 2–8, 2026, with tournament rounds November 5–8. It's the event's 20th edition and its fourth straight year in Cabo San Lucas.
The tournament made history in 2007 as the first PGA TOUR event played in Mexico, and the TOUR's first official event outside the U.S. and Canada. Today it brings 120 players, a $6 million purse and worldwide TV coverage to a Tiger Woods course on the Pacific.
Here's what you need to know:
the week's schedule, how to watch in person, and why so many golfers who come for the tournament end up looking at homes here.
The Tournament and the Course
El Cardonal was Tiger Woods' first completed course design. It opened in 2014 at Diamante, on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. It plays as a par 72 at 7,452 yards for the tournament, and Woods built it to challenge the pros while staying fun for higher handicappers.

How to Watch in Person
Diamante is a private, gated community on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas, a short drive from downtown. Tournament week is one of the few times the public gets to see El Cardonal up close.
1. Buy tickets ahead of time. Get them through the official site only, not resellers, and check what each ticket includes before you go.
2. Watch for parking and shuttle instructions. Access to Diamante is controlled. The organizers and the municipality will announce parking, shuttles and any road closures closer to the event.
3. Go early in the week for a quieter course. The pro-ams on November 2–4 are a relaxed way to see the layout. The weekend rounds bring the biggest crowds.
4. Dress for sun and wind. November in Cabo is warm and dry, and the course sits on the Pacific dunes. Bring sunscreen, a hat and comfortable walking shoes.
5. Plan where to stay. Golf groups, sponsors and TV crews fill hotels and rentals across Cabo San Lucas during tournament week.
Golf, Diamante and Owning in Los Cabos
A PGA TOUR week does what no brochure can: it puts Cabo's golf lifestyle on TV in more than 220 countries and territories. Many of the people walking El Cardonal in November are golfers who have been thinking about a second home here, and tournament week is when they come and look.
Diamante is the clearest example. It's home to El Cardonal, the Dunes course, the 12-hole Oasis Short Course, and Tiger Woods' Legacy course, which is still under development. Ownership comes with access to all of that, plus a private, gated setting on the Pacific.
If golf is part of how you'd use a Cabo home, think through three things before you buy:
Membership and access. Some communities include golf, and some sell membership separately or by invitation. Know what's included and what each tier costs.
HOA and club dues. Golf communities carry higher fees. Get the real annual numbers before you compare prices.
Build or buy. A finished home gets you on the course this season. A lot lets you design your own, but plan for architecture, permits and construction time.
